Exhibitions Stands Using The Internet As A Marketing Tool To Further Promote Your Exhibition

If you are planning to exhibit at an upcoming exhibition or event, then there are many ways in which you can further promote your business and stand, in addition to having the stand at an exhibition. You can in effect, achieve far more than just having your stand present at an exhibition. Several ideas are discussed below.

Promote your presence at the exhibition
There is usually an official website designed for most exhibitions, at least for exhibitions which take place at most of the major venues, These websites also very often have a page dedicated to a list of exhibitors and sometimes the exhibitors name is linked to their own website. If exhibiting at an event, check that your company is listed and if possible, try to get your website name linked to your website

Promote your website at the exhibition
When at the exhibition itself, promote your website so that people will check your services and products in the future. You can use your business cards, literature or writing on the stand itself, to promote your business. The sales campaign need not end as the exhibition finishes. As people get home and hand their children the free balloons they were handed (with your logo and website address on) your website address might float around a persons home for days. Giving out free pens, with your website address written on the outside of the pen, is another inexpensive yet effective tool. The literature you hand out an event can also be used to get your website address out into the public domain.

Get listed on the venue websites
Many of the top exhibition venues sometimes have a dedicated page listing suppliers of exhibition stand equipment and services. The NEC International exhibition centre in Birmingham, UK’s, website for example, has an ‘Exhibition Suppliers Directory’ and the site has very high visitor numbers. Fees are sometimes charged to advertise on such a site, but this expense can be relatively low compared to other media and is thus worth considering.

Using your own website
You can also use your own website to promote and highlight your intention to exhibit at an event. By using your own website, you can communicate with potential customers to let them now of your presence at certain events. An even more effective and direct way to communicate with people is via E-newsletters. By having a simple database and an opt-in area on your website, you will then have the ability to target people directly.

Portable, pop-up, modular and custom-made exhibition stands

Making It Online

A few years ago when I decided to do business online, I was a bit in the dark. I was so excited that I didn’t even take some time to learn some basic stuff. These were things I wish somebody had taught at the start beginning, but I had to learn them first hand. Here are a few things I learnt as a beginner:

  • The internet is loaded with scams and schemes and a lot of hype. But there are also a lot of legitimate businesses online. Making money online is just as it is in the offline world. To do so still requires hardwork , dedication ,persistence, passion and commitment.

  • There is no way you can become rich “overnight”. I used to join program after program to get a quick buck or two. This was all in vain. I was so eager to make some easy money, I forgot to take a reality check. Any truly successful online business will take time to build and grow. Are you willing to stick at it for the next 3-5 years? A very good question to ask yourself.

  • Visibility is part of the game. The more visible and reliable you are, the more people will trust you. Trust is a big part of making it online. Would you spend your hard earn money with someone who is not trustworthy? It took me some time to realise and accept this fact.

  • To receive you have to give. When I first started out, all I was interested in was receiving. As I got more deeply involved, I realised that doing so was setting me up for failure. You have to give your customers and readers something in order for them to return the favor. This also took some time to sink into my thick skull.

The above are just a few things you will need to know when doing business online. With these pointers, you will at least be at a better starting point than I was. Somehow I just keep thinking; what would have happen if I had known these things at the beginning?

The Secret Ingredient That Creates The Sales

The internet has become a huge mall with little ally ways and secret entrances all over the place. There are a huge amount of sales websites all vying for the same attention. Indeed a highly competitive market.

Marketing skills and writing have become more and more important to the marketing of your products and will become increasingly so as the internet increases in size.

Don’t be under the illusion that now is to late, there are millionaires made every day and there will still be made twenty years from now.

Advertising your site and product is the small part of marketing, the secret ingredient is in the pitch, whether a landing page, opt in or sales page.

Funny enough it has been the same for as long as you possibly can remember, from the first radio commercials, print commercials up to the latest in HDTV, it has not changed, what has changed is the jargon, the language and the way people perceive the world around them on a daily basis.

The way you write your sales pitch, where you place which word, how long must it be, what do you say, how do you say it, what guarantees do you give, how good do you make it sound, what is the perceived value, what does the buyer get, why or why not ad bonus products, what about the price.

The buzzword niche has now been around for a while, and in most places you will be taught that to get good business you must find your niche. For most this is easier said than done, think about it while you walk the dog, it may help but it wont resolve the issue at hand.

Many new internet marketers make the same mistake, including me, when you start out, you want to sell everything to everyone, make millions of dollars and retire on the beach watching whatever you enjoy watching.

Many just throw in the towel after a while and that depends where they can push their patience to, others last a bit longer and as these leave new recruits eager to do the same join the party.

A vicious circle indeed and it seems that just a few at the top are making it. Many well known marketers are making it, but there are many more who remain quiet and anonymous that are raking in millions. It is up to you if you want to be well known or not, but use the right secret ingredient and you will be raking in the cash.

So for how long am I still going to be ranting on about the secret, or maybe it is my sales ploy, who knows?

Well lets let the cat out of the bag and not keep you in suspense any longer. You cant buy the secret ingredient. You are it. You just need to develop yourself using the right information.

What this means is that your product, book, sales letter or email needs to be unique to yourself. That is how your product will stand out from the rest. Just duplicating someone else’s work might bring you some success but the real success lies in you. Like any game before you can get those tricky moves going you need to do the basics right. Learn the basics and the rest will follow.

Do not believe that you are not a writer. For some it is harder work than for others, but if you intend to be a successful internet marketer and have those vacations at the beach, every moment spent will be worth your while.
